March Madness – On and Off Campus
Off campus – the week in review: Everyone’s bracket has been completely destroyed. Who would have called some of these upsets? Vanderbilt basketball… oh well. All is not lost. Yea we lost our chance at playing Kentucky and finally handing their rear ends to them, but in talking with the team last night at Sigma Nu’s big themed party (yes our team is nice enough to talk to a regular joe like me) they assured me that they would be back next year ready to go. National Champs next year. Let’s go!
On campus – this week the Melodores are hosting the University of Illinois’ Girls Next Door acapella group as they are touring multiple colleges around the country. They will be performing this Wednesday in the SLC Ballroom at 7pm. We are going to throw in a few numbers of our own as a little preview to our spring concert that is quickly approaching mid April. A lot of preparations have been necessary to get a bunch of new music learned for ourselves, but also figure out accommodations for the Girls Next Door group. Should be a good time!
The Melodores are also amidst preparations to record a CD at Dark Horse studios here in Nashville – another awesome thing about living in Music City. Not only are we cutting a CD which will serve as a keepsake to remember the times we all spent together in our short first year, but we will also get to experience recording at a world famous, state of the art facility.
