Office of Undergraduate Admissions / Historic Old Gym Welcome to Vanderbilt! The Old Gym is one of two buildings housing the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Built in 1880 as Vanderbilt’s original gymnasium, today it hosts tens of thousands of visitors to our campus each year.

Alumni Lawn One of Vanderbilt’s many outdoor green spaces, Alumni Lawn is home to signature events like Rites of Spring music festival and Founders Walk. Bring a hammock or a frisbee for a perfect sunny day outside!
E. Bronson Ingram College EBI is a residential college that houses a mix of sophomores, juniors and seniors. It includes an apartment for a faculty director as well as a large dining hall, beautiful study rooms, a community kitchen, and spaces for academic and social events.
Oliver C. Carmichael College The newest residential college in the campus’s West End Neighborhood houses 305 upperdivision students and the Carmichael Café—stop by for a handcrafted espresso drink!
Rothschild College Rothschild, one of four residential colleges in the campus’s West End Neighborhood, houses 333 upper-division students as well as a dining hall, great room, study lounges and Black Box Theater.
Nicholas S. Zeppos College This residential college houses 335 upper-division students and a mediterranean-inspired dining hall. Adjacent to Zeppos College is the iconic West End Tower, which is hard to miss on Nashville’s skyline. Within the tower is a mix of student housing, distinguished guest housing and event spaces.
Kirkland Hall The oldest building on campus, Kirkland opened in 1875 and originally housed all of Vanderbilt’s classrooms, labs, libraries and even a museum and chapel. Today the recently renovated building serves as the central administration office.
Sarratt Student Center / Rand Dining Hall Sarratt-Rand combines two distinct spaces. At Sarratt, students can study in various creative spaces, chat over coffee or watch movies in the cinema. In Rand, you’ll find an open seating area to eat fresh, healthy meals representing tastes from around the world.
Buttrick Hall The classic Gothic architecture and cozy interior of this building make it the perfect setting for many of the College of Arts and Science’s humanities departments.
Central Library One of nine libraries on campus, the Central Library is home to cozy reading nooks, historic archives and even a café. Stop by for a peaceful place to read and study or take advantage of special programming and exhibits curated by Vanderbilt’s expert librarians.
The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons Residence Halls All first-year students live and learn together in one of 10 houses on The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons—the epicenter of the first-year experience. Each house is led by a faculty head of house who lives in the residence halls with their families and pets.
The Commons Center The Commons Center is the hub of The Ingram Commons and offers many resources that first-year students may need: a dining hall, drop-in hours for several student resource centers, a fitness center, a mini-market, a post office, meeting rooms and a grand piano.
Wyatt Center At the top of expansive Peabody Lawn sits the Wyatt Center—one of the most Instagrammed spots on campus. Inside Wyatt, students work with some of the most esteemed faculty in the fields of education and human development
Blair School of Music Blair’s state-of-the-art facilities include performance halls with interactive technology, recording studios and practice rooms—all designed to support world-class music education.
David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center Facilities include a 35-meter swimming pool, strength and aerobic rooms, basketball courts, climbing wall, four-lane bowling alley, racquetball and squash courts, indoor and outdoor tracks, sand volleyball court and more! Students have the opportunity to participate in 33 club sports and 20 intramural teams, as well as fitness classes, personal training services and health clinics.
The Wond'ry / Engineering and Science Building Connected to the School of Engineering’s Olin Hall, the Science and Engineering Building includes a cleanroom and advanced imaging facilities for work in nanotechnology, as well as other research labs, classroom space and the Wond’ry, a 35,000-square-foot makerspace.
FirstBank Stadium & Hawkins Field At Vanderbilt, game days are more than just events—they’re experiences. Whether you’re cheering on the Commodore football team at FirstBank Stadium or catching a VandyBoys baseball game at Hawkins Field, these venues are where VU school spirit comes alive.
Memorial Gym The home court for the volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams, Memorial Gym is known for its raised court with team seating behind the goals, creating an intimate and acoustically vibrant atmosphere known as “Memorial Magic.”
