When Art + Science Come Together, Anything Is Possible
The undergraduate experience at the College of Arts and Science is exactly what college should be: an intellectual environment where you can explore everything you’re curious about, interested in, and fascinated by—at the heart of a world-class residential university. The urge to cross boundaries and forge connections is at our core. And more often than not, we find that those intersections create something far greater than the sum of their parts.
With 35 departments, close to 70 unique areas of study, and more than 600 course offerings, the college provides countless chances to develop deep knowledge and expertise within a given discipline, plus the breadth of exposure to different fields and modes of inquiry you need to put that expertise to work in new, exciting and impactful ways.
Whatever path you take through the College of Arts and Science, you’ll work with faculty who bring this place to life—true teachers and scholars who are as devoted to their work in the classroom as they are to their research. Through time well spent here, you’ll gain perspectives, build capacities, and develop the multifaceted skills you need for any career path. Your arts and science education will help you realize your individual potential, so that together we can solve the world’s greatest challenges.
