The Hoogland Undergraduate Business Program is an opportunity for students to pursue a program that is “Uniquely Vanderbilt.” This trans-institutional program, with elective course options from each of the four undergraduate schools and fundamentals courses taught by the Owen Graduate School of Management, is designed to complement the strong liberal arts education.

  • Data Science Minor

Launched in 2021, the data science minor takes a trans-institutional approach and is a testament to the collaborative spirit within Vanderbilt, bringing together ideas and expertise from all four undergraduate schools and the Vanderbilt Data Science Institute. The data science minor can be paired with any major at Vanderbilt. It allows students to learn various data analysis techniques, including machine learning and data visualization, as well as gain scientific computing, programming and data management skills.

Learn more about the minor at the data science program homepage.

  • Legal Studies

The minor in legal studies, housed in Vanderbilt Law School and designed and taught by law faculty, offers a comprehensive introduction to law for Vanderbilt undergraduate students. Through 5 courses and supplemental programming, students will be able to make an informed judgment about pursuing law school and/or a legal career, gain knowledge and skills that will give them a leg up in law school or non-legal career paths, and graduate with a better understanding of how the law shapes our society.
