Minors

Minors are offered by all five Vanderbilt undergraduate schools and two professional schools (Vanderbilt Law School and Owen Graduate School of Management, which administer the legal studies minor and business minor, respectively). Students may pursue any minor outside of their major. Minor descriptions and requirements can be found on the school websites or the Undergraduate Catalog.

    The Hoogland Undergraduate Business Program is an opportunity for students to pursue a program that is “Uniquely Vanderbilt.” This trans-institutional program, with elective course options from each of the undergraduate schools and fundamentals courses taught by the Owen Graduate School of Management, is designed to complement the strong liberal arts education.

  • Vanderbilt Law School (Legal Studies)

    The minor in legal studies, housed in Vanderbilt Law School and designed and taught by law faculty, offers a comprehensive introduction to law for Vanderbilt undergraduate students. Through 5 courses and supplemental programming, students will be able to make an informed judgment about pursuing law school and/or a legal career, gain knowledge and skills that will give them a leg up in law school or non-legal career paths, and graduate with a better understanding of how the law shapes our society.
