Visit
Whether you’re just beginning your college search or have already been admitted to Vanderbilt, visiting campus will provide you with insights that simply can’t be obtained through word-of-mouth exchanges, viewbooks or websites. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has designed a variety of campus visit programs to give you plenty of opportunities to get to know us.
Read about these visit opportunities and more below.
- Daily Information Session and Tour — Gain key insight on admissions topics straight from our counselors and student tour guides, who will give you a personal tour of our beautiful, park-like campus.
- Black and Gold Program — Held on five different dates early each year, Black and Gold is a program for high school freshman, sophomores and juniors that is designed to help you get started in your college search.
- 'Dore for a Day — This half-day visit is designed for high school juniors, seniors and admitted students and offers you a chance to shadow a current Vanderbilt student. Alongside your host, you will attend classes and spend time together exploring campus.
- PreVU — This program is for rising high school seniors only, offering students and their families an in-depth look at Vanderbilt inside and outside the classroom.
- Organization Visits — For high school groups or organizations comprised of 5 – 85 high school students, these visits operate just like our Daily Information Session and Tour, featuring an overview of Vanderbilt from an admissions counselor and a personal tour of campus from a tour guide. (Note: Examples of organizations include the YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs. Please sign-up for a Daily Info Session if you will be visiting with your family.)
