Throughout my undergraduate education, graduate education, and my time here at the OUA I have developed a few coping mechanisms. As many of you await our Early Decision I letters and most of you wrap-up semesters with final projects and exams, let me hand...

Vince Young

Dec. 4, 2009—Thing # 114 that I love about Nashville is having a great NFL franchise in our backyard. And this year has been crazy for Titans fans. After last years’ #1 seed in the playoffs and heartbreaking loss to the Ravens (the refs clearly missed a safety that would have won us the game but I...

Blogging Day 1

Dec. 3, 2009—My name is John Nesbitt and I’ve been at Vanderbilt since 2002 (woah I think I am getting old) when I entered as a wide-eyed freshman. A Tuesday Intellectual on a Friday Afternoon

Apr. 21, 2009—At Vanderbilt, we feel comfortable putting our classroom experience up against any University, but we're biased). What I have come to understand in my three years here though is that this highly intellectual community maintains such a high level of livability for many Vanderbilt students. To me, Vanderbilt offers Tuesday morning academics in a setting that feels like a Friday afternoon. I reject that if a student wants an elite academic experience that they have to put up with a community that is cut-throat and staid.
