Waitlist Update Email Going Out Today
Apr. 23, 2010—Waiting is hard. We know that after starting your college search a year ago (at least) and going through the application process, the last thing you really want to do is wait some more. So for those of you who have agreed to do so by accepting a spot on our waitlist, thank you. The good news is that barring an unforseen circumstance we do anticipate that we will be able to admit students from our waitlist at some point.

Apr. 2, 2010—I know that being on a waitlist isn't ideal, and after all of this time applying to college you probably are not that psyched about more waiting. We will do all that we can to keep you informed. For those of you who have been offered a space on the waitlist I wanted to draw your attention to a post we made last year that addresses many of the questions and concerns you may have (and that I see in your posted comments).
Vanderbilt Class of 2014 Notifications in the Mail
Mar. 26, 2010—The months of waiting are one step closer to ending, and we are grateful for your patience. Decision notifications for the next incoming class of Vanderbilt University left our building on two USPS trucks and are on their way to you. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we were again humbled this year by an incoming class that continued to reach historic levels of diversity, academic quality, and depth of leadership, character, and personality. The pool of applicants for this year’s incoming class was no less than astounding.
Letter Checking Nearly Complete: Mailing Currently on Schedule
Mar. 25, 2010—Everything is still looking good for a tomorrow morning mailing of our decision notifications. Decision checking went very well and we are now into the letter checking phase, where we will check each letter that will leave our office tomorrow to make sure that the envelope and the letters match. Barring any last minute delay the letters should leave here tomorrow.
Mailing Week 2010 Begins
Mar. 22, 2010—Today we began decision checking on all completed applications for the Vanderbilt class of 2014. This is the first of a multi-step process of getting our decisions out the door which we intend to do by this Friday, March 26th.

Mar. 15, 2010—Sports talk radio was hammering the NCAA basketball selection committee as I waded through traffic and rain drops this morning. Feb. 15, 2010—Another wintry day in Nashville didn't deter big crowds of visitors from campus on President's Day with a full Black & Gold Days and two afternoon information sessions. Visitors for the daily info sessions likely didn't know they would be a part of Vanderbilt history when they got up this morning.

Feb. 12, 2010—Looks like our adventures writing to you and collectively playing around on the interwebs has been recognized by College Surfing as Vanderbilt University was recently named a "Web 2.0 College" in the "College Olympics." 2010 ED2 Decisions Mailed and Total Applications Update
Feb. 6, 2010—Yesterday afternoon, the latest rounds of admissions offers left 2305 West End Ave. Early Decision II applicants should receive their admissions decisions sometime early this coming week in the mail. As we are now able to get a glimpse of the entire Early Decision pool and admitted class, here’s some information on the profile of that class.
