do you know when the accepted and enrolled students will receive their t-shirts?

The shirts are being mailed in batches – if you haven’t yet received yours you can check with your VU admissions counselor to see if it has been mailed yet. Thank you and congratulations!

Thanks for the questions. For us, ED1 and ED2 are two parts of the same Early Decision phase of admissions, and we report the admit rate for ED as a whole. ED1, ED2, and RD applicants can all apply for merit scholarships, but the merit scholarship application must be submitted by 12/1.

Jay, thanks! Still wondering how we are to navigate applying for ED2 on 12/15 before we hear back from our ED1 choice on Dec. 15; and still apply for the hugely important Vanderbilt Merit Scholarship by last Friday’s Dec. 1 deadline? Are ED2 Vanderbilt applicants therefore capable of applying for the 3 Vanderbilt Merit Scholarships if they can’t apply until they hear back on Dec. 15 from their ED1 college?

This is a bit complicated, so I hope I can shed some light on this for you. To apply for scholarships, a student must submit an application for admission. I would recommend you submit the application via RD, then apply for scholarships. If you’re not admitted to your first-choice ED school, you may want to change your Vanderbilt application to ED2. You can do that after December 15, but before the January 1 ED2 deadline. Our Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is available to answer questions on this as well, and they have extended hours today. Here’s details: https://admissions.vanderbilt.edu/vandybloggers/2017/12/financial-aid-qa-get-your-questions-answered/ Hope this helps clarify!

May you please share the admitted student’s profile for ED1 in terms of GPA, ACT/SAT Scores, etc.

Thanks for your question. We post summary statistics after we have completed the whole Early Decision round of admissions, so watch for that after we finish ED2. Thanks!

Thanks for the question, Davis. Yes, we include National Merit Semifinalists and Finalists in our count of major honors.

How many applicants were international students and how many of them were selected?
February 13th, 2018
Thank you for the question. We do not break down our application and admit rate in this way. Every year we admit and enroll many international students, and they currently make up 7.7% of the undergraduate student population at Vanderbilt.
