Winter Hours and Winter Fun
During Vanderbilt’s winter break, our office hours will look a little different, as our admissions officers and staff are getting some much needed rest and fun heading into the new year!
While the University is officially closed for winter break from Monday, December 24 to Wednesday, January 2, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will offer limited open hours. Check below to see our holiday hours and contact information.
Over the break, you may notice a slight change in our response time as many of our officers will be traveling across the nation and spending time with their family and friends. Here are just a few examples of the fun plans that our staff members have for the next few weeks!
Senior Assistant Director of Admissions María Ornelas will make green and red chile tamales with her family! Yum!
Administrative Assistant Jen Grell will be camping at the Red River Gorge with her family.
Senior Assistant Director of Admissions Julianna Staples will be continuing her holiday traditions of seeing the lights at Cheekwood and watching Home Alone at Schermerhorn Symphony.
Admissions Counselor Arianna Yarritu will be heading to the sunny state of Florida to Disney World! This will be her eighth time going and her fourth time visiting over the holidays!
A few more of us are also heading to warm and sunny locations! Terri Hershberger, executive assistant to Dean of Admissions Douglas Christiansen, will be traveling to Florida for some fun in the sun, and Assistant Director of Admissions Allison Key will be traveling to Hawaii!
No matter what your plans are, we hope that you have safe and happy holidays!

December 27 and 28: Open 9:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m.
December 31 and January 1: Closed
January 2: Resume normal hours
