Class of 2022 – Early Decision by the Numbers

Posted by on Friday, February 23, 2018 in Early Decision, General Information, Vandy Bloggers.

Last week we released admissions decisions for EDII applicants, wrapping up our Early Decision admissions phase for the Class of 2022. Now that we’ve completed both Early Decision I and II, we’re able to share some summary statistics about these new Commodores. They’re an incredible group of students, and we’re excited for them to join our Vanderbilt community.

Below is a look at the Vanderbilt Early Decision admits to the Class of 2022 by the numbers. (To get a look at this group beyond the numbers, check out their #vu2022 posts on Instagram and Twitter.)

Percent of students who received one or more significant honors or held major leadership positions:  100%

Middle 50% SAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing: 700-750

Middle 50% SAT Math: 760-800

Middle 50% ACT:  33-35

Percent of students in the top ten percent of their graduating class:  93%*

Early Decision Admit Rate:  20.5%

We thank each student who applied through Early Decision, and we welcome the new members of the Class of 2022. They’re a highly accomplished group and we can’t wait to see them at The Commons on move-in day in August. In the meantime, we invite our newly admitted students to get to know other ‘Dores through the Official Class of 2022 Facebook group. We also encourage new students (and everyone, really) to connect with VU through TwitterSnapchatInstagram, and other social media.
