Student Takeovers on Snapchat

There’s a new way to learn about student life at Vanderbilt, and it’s a snap! While Vanderbilt has been on Snapchat for a while, this summer was the start of something new:  student takeovers. On most Tuesdays a different undergraduate student takes control of the Vanderbilt account to bring you a unique story about their Vanderbilt experience. From research to residential life, clubs to The Commons, and academics to athletics, these Snapchat takeovers give you a window into what it is like to be a Commodore. You can even snap your own questions in to the students during the takeover.

Snapchat is also a great way to get a behind-the-scenes look at campus. Recent takeovers have taken viewers into the Student Rec Center, Rand Dining Hall, Memorial Gym, the Kissam Center, and more. Here’s a peak at what you’ve been missing!

More students will be taking over the VU Snapchat this fall, including:

Priya Trivedi Naperville, IL Economics, with a minor in Corporate Strategy
Kara Parker Hendersonville, TN Communication Studies
Tom Carroll Belle Meade, NJ Economics
Alexis Banks Bolingbrook, IL Communications and English
Shaan Ramprasad Morristown, TN Engineering
Gabi Grys Bethlehem, PA Secondary Education & History

Add vanderbiltu on Snapchat to see what these students have in store!

Of course, you don’t have to use Snapchat to learn more about Vanderbilt. Other social media options include OUA’s Instagram, Facebook, and Tumblr profiles. You can also explore our website to take our virtual tour, contact a current student with a question, or request info to join our mailing list.  If you
