Dean of Admissions Douglas L. Christiansen Discusses the Application Process on The Today Show

Posted by on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Academic Advising, Academic Life, Admissions Committee, Early Decision.

No matter the medium through which the Office of Undergraduate Admissions communicates with you, we always strive to do so in a transparent, accurate, and engaging fashion. But sometimes it’s best to go straight to the top – to hear what Vanderbilt’s dean of admissions Dr. Douglas Christiansen has to say.

Fortunately for our readers, as well as for viewers across the country, Dr. Christiansen recently appeared on NBC’s The Today Show to discuss the application process in advance of the Early Decision I deadline*. He was joined by representatives from The University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University, and the three collectively addressed a range of questions related to the process that many of you are engaged in right now.

Please take a few minutes to view this fun, insightful video, and then learn more about how to apply to Vanderbilt.

*As stated earlier this week, the OUA is willing to work with applicants affected by Hurricane Sandy past the November 1 deadline as we are aware that you may be experiencing difficulty submitting required documents by the published deadline.
