Meet Ben Gatlin
Tupelo, MS (birthplace of Elvis) is my hometown.
I am the admissions counselor responsible for Chattanooga, TN, South Florida, and home school students.
In the office I work on Black and Gold Days, Global Ambassadors, and the Local Counselor Brunch.
My favorite restaurants in Nashville are The Loveless Café, Firefly Grille, and Jackson’s.
The best coffee shop in town is Frothy Monkey. Excellent breakfast and they have this banana mocha drink that is ridiculously good.
On Saturdays you’re most likely to find me in a coffee shop reading, jogging around Hillsboro Village, and/or devouring Sweet CeCe’s frozen yogurt (often twice in the same day).
American Airlines is almost always my go to for flights. They always give me an exit row seat (I’m really tall).
My favorite spot on campus is The Iris Café at the Peabody Library. I put in many hours there as a graduate student at Vanderbilt.
The best dish at The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons is anything from the dessert selection. Every dessert they make is worth risking a cavity for.
