Meet Mary Comfort Stevens
My hometown is Abington, PA.
I am the admissions counselor responsible for middle Tennessee (students who go to school in Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford, and Montgomery Counties), plus Canada and Africa.
In the office I am the liaison to the Blair School of Music.
Favorite places to eat in Nashville are tayst, Kien Giang, Las Paletas, and Park Café.
Best musical event I’ve seen in Nashville was the The Doyle and Debbie Show at the Station Inn.
On a Saturday you’re most likely to find me catching up with friends and avoiding the retail scene in Green Hills.
Best coffee shop here in town is Fido in Hillsboro Village.
Airline I most frequently fly in/out of Nashville is Southwest.
My favorite spot on campus is the 4th floor of Benson Hall, the home of the English and History Departments, although historically Benson is known as “Old Science”! The best dish at the Commons is their wood-fired pizza.
Edwin and Percy Warner Parks are hidden gems in Nashville.
Something else about Nashville is the Scene, a free weekly paper that tells you what’s happening all over town- music, film, galleries, theatre, food, hot-button issues. Pick up a copy in boxes on the street, or subscribe to the online version to keep in touch with your options off campus.
