Decision Checks and Sealing Party…

Posted by on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Application Process.

I know. I know. We said we were mailing today. Still, we always want to guarantee that the correct student is receiving the correct letter with the correct decision. Therefore, we match every application one by one. This involved late nights, lots of pizza from across the street, ice cream and coffee runs, and the unlikely discovery of a jelly bean-Gatorade hybrid that guarantees extra energy. They’re called Sport Beans and I doubt their efficacy.

You’ve made the effort to apply, therefore we’re going to get it right,

Below you can see pictures of today’s events culminating in the Envelope Sealing Party.

They go out tomorrow. Seriously. I promise.

So those of us who aren’t local should expect decisions on Monday?

Did you send out the “Admit Packages” to those who have already been accepted via EDI and EDII? When should we expect them to arrive?

Is there any way to view decisions online or will you send emails? I’m guessing you don’t want us calling haha… can’t blame you!

Nope. They only send you your decisions via postal mail. If you are an international student then you will get your decision in a few days via email. If you do not receive your decision after a certain time period (usually around 5-7 days after they were mailed) I think they will allow you to call up and ask for your decision. However, they will not release your decision via phone until that time period has passed. They will probably announce when you can call in soon.

Thats a bummer… but all will be forgiven if I get a big “Congrats” on my envelope :)

    Hey all,

    Again, great questions:

The admit packets will be sent priority as we’ve mentioned, so they should arrive pretty quickly. They’ll go in the trucks tomorrow morning, should arrive in middle Tennessee on Saturday, and then around the U.S. on Monday or Tuesday (depending on weather of course). And yes, we do send out the admit packets to students who were admitted at ED (it should also arrive soon).

We don’t release decisions online, but if for some odd reason you don’t have your decision by Thursday, April 3rd, you can call our office to receive your decision over the phone.
