Where are you from?
What’s your favorite spot on campus?
The Vanderbilt campus is designated as an arboretum, so pretty much every outdoor space is amazing! As far as indoor spaces go, I enjoy spending time at the university’s Fine Arts Gallery.
What hobby do you wish you had more time for?
What did you study in college?
History and music.
If you could go to college again, what major would you choose?
Japanese art history.
What is the hardest class you have ever taken?
Calculus. In fact, I was told to stop helping my kids with math when they were in 4th grade...I really am more of a words person!
What’s the best concert you’ve seen in Nashville?
Two favorites. YoYo Ma performing with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, and Mary Chapin Carpenter at the Ryman Auditorium.
What is the moment you knew you were a Nashvillian?
When I started saying all y'all!
What is your favorite place to eat in Nashville?
There are so many! To name a few...Epice, The Yellow Porch, Bobby's Dairy Dip
What talent do you have that would surprise your friends?
I am a classically trained violinist, but since moving to Nashville nearly 25 years ago I have started fiddling and playing in a band!
If you weren't an admissions counselor, what would you be?
Not sure, but hiking and cooking would definitely need to be involved.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
