Why Vanderbilt? Thoughts from a Graduating Senior.
Apr. 17, 2013—As the Class of 2017 will join Vanderbilt in the fall, the Class of 2013 will graduate and begin the next journey of their life. Instead of telling you why I chose Vanderbilt, which I have done many times (see previous blog posts) I thought I would give you the perspective of a student who is about to leave Vanderbilt.
MESA Night
Apr. 6, 2013—Ever wanted to have a good laugh while eating some delicious food? Well, I did exactly that this past Saturday.
What Will You Be?
Apr. 2, 2013—Like Nathan, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2017. As I prepare to graduate in about a month, I envy your position right now, getting ready to start a crazy and fun learning and growing experience (aka college). From his original post, Nathan has inspired me to think about ways...
Reminiscing about ASBreak
Mar. 28, 2013—This is a little overdue, but I promised I would write about my spring break experience! I was a little nervous before the trip as I was taking on a new role in the program as a site leader. However, I’m happy to say that my ASB experience this year was just as enjoyable as last year.
Breathe!
Mar. 27, 2013—Yesterday I was fortunate enough to participate in Breathe--Sigma Phi Lambda's night of prayer and praise. Victory has been invited to perform there since I was a freshman, mostly because we share several members. However, last night's event was so much more extensive than any night of prayer and praise I have ever attended. It was a campus-wide inter-denomination praise event, and I think it really encapsulated the interfaith (or in this case, interdenominational) nature of Vanderbilt's campus...
It’s Beginning to Look a LOT Like Spring Time!
Mar. 16, 2013—I cannot WAIT to tell you all about my Spring Break, but I am still waiting on a few pictures so just expect it in the near future. Until then, let me just say that it is DEFINITELY beginning to look a lot like spring time here at Vanderbilt!
MOSAIC Weekend
Mar. 11, 2013—This upcoming weekend, two hundred prospective students will be visiting Vanderbilt’s campus. These talented high school students were recently informed that they have been accepted into Vanderbilt's Class of 2017!
College=Power
Feb. 6, 2013—College is a time of empowerment. I think at our ages, between 18-22, we truly believe we make a difference So when we support the Children's Hospital with the annual Dance Marathon, when we go to National Coming Out Week events, or broke the world record last year for most vaccine shots in one place in eight hours for the Flulapalooza. And even if Vandy is still growing in its football program, it doesn't mean we can't fill a stadium because we don't have school spirit.
Music City you have REALLY outdone yourself
Dec. 6, 2012—Count Down to Music's Biggest Night (The Grammys!)...and I got to be a part of it.
Catch Up with Victoria (and sometimes Nathan): Chapter VI
Dec. 5, 2012—Today’s topic: Diwali! Find all of the Catch-Up chronicles, including those by master blogger Nathan here! For quite a bit of first semester, four hours of my week were spent learning a dance for Diwali. Diwali’s name comes from the Hindu festival of lights, and here at Vanderbilt the celebration takes the form of an...
