Hi hello – I’m Sami!
I’m a Junior from the SF Bay Area majoring in Educational Studies and Child Studies, with a minor in Computer Science. I love teaching and working with children – most of my time is spent talking about growth mindset in my education classes, spending time at my practicum sites, or writing curricula for the computer science education program I started here at Vanderbilt. After graduation, I hope to work in educational technology and e-learning, which is exactly what it sounds like – using technology to help people learn things!
Okay what else? In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out (ask me about the free classes at the Rec!), listening to the Hamilton soundtrack on repeat, and color-coding my planner. I have a long list of favorite things about Vanderbilt, but I think the one that’s become most clear to me as an ~older and wiser~ upperclassman is the way that this university has grown up with me as I’ve changed throughout my college experience. Ask me about it; we can get philosophical if you’d like.
Cool, so please, please, please send me emails at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am actually so excited to answer your questions and will likely send you an excessively long reply so get ready for that.
