Farah Arif ’19

Hi everyone! I’m Farah and I’m from Gurnee, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago (this is a point of contention for many because I’m like 15 minutes from being in Wisconsin, but I resent that). I’m in the College of Arts and Science studying Public Policy and Spanish, and I will be minoring in South Asian Studies.

I’m pretty sure I made almost daily visits to Inside Dores while trying to choose a college two years ago, so of course I had to write for them once I got here! On campus, I am a member of Vanderbilt Student Government on the Sexual Assault Prevention committee (VSAP), I intern with the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center, and I’m a member of the MOSAIC exec board through Admissions. I’m also involved in a lot of cultural organizations and a Chancellor’s Scholar, so if you have any questions about that or any of the other organizations for sure send me an email at farah.arif@vanderbilt.edu and I’d love to help you out!

My time at Vandy has been AMAZING so far and I’ve met so many great people, and I’m so excited to share my experiences with all of you.
