A Late Thanksgiving Break Post

Posted by on Friday, December 8, 2017 in Music, Student Life, Thanksgiving Break.

Thanksgiving Break always seems to come at the perfect time in the semester. It is a chance to de-stress for an entire week and to spend time with family and friends. Even though I had to study for an Organic Chemistry test during part of my break, I still had a fantastic time with my family.

For my break, my family and I traveled to New York City! While in New York, we saw The Lion King on Broadway. It was absolutely amazing, and I recommend that everyone goes to see it at least once in their lifetime. I may or may not have cried twice since The Lion King is one of my favorite movies. The cast, music, and costumes were incredible!

On Thanksgiving Day, we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on 8th Avenue! It was definitely a dream come true to see all of the humongous balloons in person. I apologize to anyone who is friends with me on Snapchat because I uploaded a picture of every single balloon.

I definitely had a great Thanksgiving Break in “The City that Never Sleeps.” The 24/7 coffee and hot chocolate in our hotel truly helped me to survive. I would love to talk more about my trip to New York City, so definitely email me at ashli.alexander@vanderbilt.edu if you have any questions at all!
