The Beginning of Fall, Nissans, and Foodtrucks

Well, it is official folks. It is SWEATER SEASON! As much as I loved the summer weather, I am ready for things to cool down a little bit. Not a fan of sweating when I am walking to class–bleh.

In honor of the beginning of this wonderful season, a couple lovely ladies of the Catholic FOCUS Missionary group hosted a Fall Crafternoon last weekend at their super-adorable apartment! What is a “crafternoon” anyways?

Two words: Pinterest Gold

The girls baked oodles of fun fall goodies (pumpkin chocolate chip cookies anyone?) along with no shortage of warm apple cider. Though it was a drop-in affair, I spent the entire afternoon making no-crease headbands and a beautiful painted mug, all inspired from Pinterest! It was a great time to craft, eat, and celebrate the beautiful fall weather with wonderful company, like my fellow blogger Sam!

Alright, so what is this business about Nissans? They are not fall related, right? WELL, the morning after my Fall Crafternoon, my parents brought my car to campus! Yay team! Even though it is possible to get around Nashville without a vehicle, I come from a state where driving a car is as natural as sunshine and drinkin’ water. What is the first thing I did upon receiving my precious car? Go to Target, of course! I know going grocery shopping doesn’t sound glamorous, but I definitely took for granted being able to go to the store whenever I wanted back home.

What will be my second trip, you might ask? This hungry girl is on the prowl for the I Dream of Weenie foodtruck! During my summer vacation, I watched a show on the Cooking Channel that featured a few foodtrucks from the Nashville area. This place apparently serves up the craziest, gooiest, gotta-have-it hotdogs this side of the Mississippi. Challenge. Accepted.
