Vanderbilt Football 2-0!

Posted by on Sunday, September 11, 2011 in Athletics, College Life, General Information.

With yesterday’s thrilling win against the UCONN Huskies, Vanderbilt football is 2-0 for the first time since 2008!In the second game of the season, and the Commodores’ first against a Division I opponent, Vanderbilt gave up an 11 point lead in the second half only to come back in the final few minutes and come away with the win.

The game was exciting, and the Commodores looked decent. There was some sloppy play, especially on offense, but at the end of the day, a win is a win. So far, Vanderbilt is undefeated in the James Franklin era, and already, we have as many wins as we did last season. I hope that this win has instilled confidence in the team and in the student body. I’m definitely no psychic, but if the Commodores continue to compete and win, Vanderbilt has a bright future as a football contender. If nothing else, we will start filling the stands.
