Hotel Vanderbilt
Just because the semester is over, doesn’t mean the Melodores stop pressing ahead. In fact, in just 12 days we have an audition for NBC’s Sing Off just down the street in Nashville. This will be our third time trying out for the show…will it be a charm? We have been busy all semester, balancing a multitude of events that it will be nice just to have a few days to focus on just one!
You may be wondering, how is Vanderbilt relevant in this post? Well, it’s because of Residential Housing that we all have applied for approval to stay an extra week on campus free of charge. All we had to do was go online and sign up for approval and we got it! Furthermore, we will have access to Vanderbilt’s practice venues even though the semester is technically over. This will make our MeloRetreat to prepare for auditions all the easier!
Wish us luck! If we get lucky enough, we shall be representing Vanderbilt on national TV for the second time this year! (See fellow Blair major, Patrick Thomas who is currently on NBC’s “The Voice”).
