Vanderbilt is a place where whether I go into a space where everyone looks like me, or a space where no one looks like me, I can feel welcome as a part of a unique and vibrant community. Students here epitomize the perfect balance of striving for individual success while being compassionate and caring about others.
Describe a favorite activity/organization and why you like it.
Being a VUceptor is my favorite activity, because every week I get to learn new ideas, perspectives, and viewpoints of first-year students. Being able to act as a resource and mentor for them has been extremely rewarding.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities (MHS 1940) has been by favorite class this year, because it makes me look beyond the biological side of health and being a pre-med student.
