As an indecisive high school student, I had no idea what I wanted in a college. When I found Vanderbilt, I found a school that mixed all the things I liked: a beautiful campus but also a booming city, a big enough school to try new things but small enough to feel intimately connected, and a campus I love but also opportunities to travel the world through school. All these things make me grateful every day that I chose Vanderbilt.
Describe a favorite activity/organization and why you like it.
I love spending time in various Hillel groups, planning activities for Jewish students and engaging the overall campus to learn about Jewish traditions. Hillel has helped me form a community here at Vanderbilt.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
I took a class in Blair about starting a non-profit. Professor Korn taught it, and I learned so much from his knowledge and his experiences. Each week we focused on a different aspect of a non-profit and by the end of the class, each student had a business plan for a personally-designed non-profit organization.
