Why Vanderbilt

While looking for schools, I wanted to find a place with an education and math program. Peabody had a great secondary education program that allowed students to double major in the subject they intended to teach. In addition to this, the size was perfect, not too big or too small. As I was walking around campus on my tour, I realized that this place really had the potential for me to become the person I wanted to be and also had the ability for me to make an impact on this world. Walking around campus everyday I feel so lucky to be here and I couldn’t be happier to attend Vanderbilt.

Describe a favorite activity or organization and why you like it.

My favorite organization on campus has to be Dore-For-A-Day. Thisorganization allows me to interact with prospective students 1-on-1 and take them to a class, to lunch and walk around campus. I love having the ability to make an impact on a prospective student.

Describe a favorite class and why you like it.

My favorite class is definitely country music. Being an avid country music fan, it is so cool to learn about the history of country music and all the things that contributed to where country is now. In addition, the professor is awesome and knows many of the artistswe talk about on a personal level.

Describe your most memorable Nashville or off-campus experience.

My favorite Nashville experience would have to be Live on The Green. This is a free concert in Nashville, anyone is welcome, and they have a bunch of foodvendors and trucks lined up. There was such an awesome and chill vibe and it will always be one of my favorite experiences.
