I fell in love with Vanderbilt (unexpectedly!) after growing up with it my whole life. My parents met their freshman year at Vanderbilt, but I didn't want to follow them to their alma mater. When I finally toured as a senior, I fell in love with Vanderbilt and have yet to fall out of love with it! More than the statistics on the page, I loved how accessible and intentional Vanderbilt's faculty and staff were, even for a high school senior just visiting. Now that I am here, I can say that the people- my friends, classmates, professors, and advisers- make me want to share my love of Vanderbilt with new visitors and students every day.
Describe a favorite activity/organization and why you like it.
Momentum Dance Company is an amazing organization that allowed me to continue my passion for studio dance. We put on two full-blown, entirely student-produced and student-choreographed shows every year. I have all the creative freedom in the world and I can't get enough!
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
I love my Chemical Process Principles class. It sounds nerdy, but I came to school to study chemical engineering to BE a chemical engineer. This class is the fundamentals, and it's a constant reminder that I chose the right major.
