When I'm here, I know that the people around me--from my fellow students to my professors--are on my side, and that feeling makes Vandy feel like a second home.
Describe a favorite activity/organization and why you like it.
Project RISHI is a new organization here on campus that is dedicated to serving the needs of rural Indian villages in a sustainable manner. In helping this organization, I've gotten to see firsthand the remarkable work people are capable of when they are passionate about what they are doing.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
My favorite class my First-Year Writing Seminar about ancient Greek and Roman History. The fact that there were only 15 people allowed us to have some very in depth discussions about the subject matter. Overall, though, my favorite part of the course was when we took a field trip to Centennial Park and got to visit the Parthenon as a class!
