Why Vanderbilt

I chose to come to Vanderbilt for its reputation of being, in short, hard. I think highschool me wanted to challenge herself, but I never quite understood what that would truly mean until I started my freshman year here. Suddenly, I was surrounded by students who were just as (if not more) diligent than I ever was. I am constantly inspired by those who share this beautiful campus with me. Being in this environment has pushed me to develop my study habits, personal skills, and work ethic so that every day, I'm becoming more and more a person who can face issues head on with confidence.

Describe a favorite activity or organization and why you like it.

Currently, one of the organizations that I've been enjoying is Dancing with the Dores. It's this huge Latin American dance showcase that invites student leaders from different groups on campus to come and represent their organization. I am dancing the Cha Cha for the American Chemical Society.

Describe a favorite class and why you like it.

I'm in this class called Formal Logic this semester that I really like. The professor is hilarious in the way only philosophers can be, and the content is engaging. I tell people it is just a bunch of puzzles.

Describe your most memorable Nashville or off-campus experience.

I won a raffle this semester from the school, and Vanderbilt paid for me and a friend to go see Drake.
