Why Vanderbilt

I wanted a place that had the excitement of a city, but the comfort of a small community. Vanderbilt was that place! Nashville is an amazing city to live in and as a singer, I especially love the music scene. I fell in love with Vanderbilt's campus, energy, and students right when I got here. I applied Early Decision I, and from then on, I've never felt more at home!

Describe a favorite activity or organization and why you like it.

I had the opportunity to become a Facilitator for an HOD course as a second year at Vanderbilt, something I never thought I would have the chance to do until graduate school. I got to step out of my comfort zone and grow as a leader, as wellas watch my own students grow and have a lot of fun getting to know them!

Describe a favorite class and why you like it.

I took Health Care Policy over the summer to fulfill an economics minor elective. I did not know much about the topic of the course, and even though I took the class online through Zoom, I learned so much from an amazing professor, in a subject I never thought I would want to learn more about!

Describe your most memorable Nashville or off-campus experience.

In the very beginning of freshman year, a couple of my friends and I went to see Ed Sheeran perform at Nissan Stadium. After the concert, all of our phones died and since we were new to Nashville, we had no clue how to get home. My journey back to campus with people I barely knew at the time turned out to be one of my favorite memories with people I now love!
