I chose Vanderbilt because the school has the tight-knight community of a smaller sized school, but the resources of a major university. At Vanderbilt I felt that I would have an engaging and interactive education alongside the myriad opportunities both in and and outside of the classroom. Plus, as a music fan, I can't beat Nashville!

The Vanderbilt Hustler WRVU Slant TV Writing for the Vanderbilt Hustler allows me to experience student life at Vanderbilt from an entirely different perspective. Writing mainly for the Life section and covering music, it is fun to get a more in-depth understanding of the music tastes of both Vanderbilt students and Nashville as a whole.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
My favorite class I have taken was Foundations of Literary Study with Professor Lopez. It was a writing workshop class where everyone was passionate about not only their own work, but their peers work as well. This made the classroom environment relaxed, collaborative and fun.
