Community, location, interdisciplinary focus, and atmosphere. And academics, obviously.
Describe a favorite activity/organization and why you like it.
My involvement with Vanderbilt's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society (VINES) has been brief thus far, but it's been an exciting introduction to the Vanderbilt entrepreneurial community. VINES is housed in the school's brand new Wondr'y building, which makes it an even more illuminating experience.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
Systematic Inquiry with Andrew Van Schaack takes the field of research - which I've always found to be somewhat dry - and makes it, somehow, extremely colorful. This is despite the fact that the class meets at 8:45am on Wednesdays and Fridays. He's really that good.
Describe your experience becoming a part of the Vanderbilt community.
Effortless - this school sucked me in almost immediately. Many of my friends would say the same.
