Vanderbilt was the perfect mix of everything I was looking for: academically rigorous, medium student population size, located in an exciting city, and collaborative! It is exactly what I wanted and much more. I love that I am able to have a balance between my academic and social life as well, which was very important to me!
Describe a favorite activity or organization and why you like it.
I love being a part of the African Student Union as it reminds me how lucky I am to be in a community where finding like minded peers or ones who have similar backgrounds is possible. This is something I have never had before and is therefore something I cherish.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
My favorite class is Negotiations. Aside from being an incredibly interesting class where the focus was on improving your negotiating technique by going against your peers, I had the most amazing professor. She was knowledgeable about her field and unbelievably accessible, thanks to her I was able to learn a lot about myself and would argue that I am much more prepared for the business world!
Describe your most memorable Nashville or off-campus experience.
My favorite thing about Nashville is that it is really Music City! I am so grateful to have been able to see one of my favorite artists up close during the first few weeks of school! Since then I have seen numerous other artists and am always just as excited and thankful for Nashville every time I getto do so!
