I chose Vanderbilt because it was a community that fostered cohesiveness and group growth rather than rigid competition.
Describe a favorite activity or organization and why you like it.
Although I love all the organizations I am in, Men's Volleyball is one of my favorites. It is the only completely non-work related organization and it allows me to have fun with friends and destress every week. It is a great place to find people of diverse majors and backgrounds to just have fun with and stay a little active in the process.
Describe a favorite class and why you like it.
My favorite class was Darwinian Revolution my Freshman year. We got to compare science and religion and how they both contrast and compliment each other. We also discussed how advancements in science really effected our world's culture and society itself, which was very interesting.
Describe your most memorable Nashville or off-campus experience.
One long weekend, my friends and I rented a nearby lake house, and it was one of the most fun weekends during my years at Vanderbilt. We went kayaking, paddle boarding, and got to enjoy each other's presence without the stress of being surrounded by school and work.
