Why Vanderbilt
I attended a "Black & Gold Day" for accepted students and loved the genuine kindness and excitement from all the Vanderbilt students and faculty that I met. I'm also incredibly grateful to have been offered the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship, which made my college decision significantly easier!

Describe a favorite activity/organization and why you like it (2-3 sentences).
VandyHacks has been an amazing way to not only learn more about the tech industry but also connect with all sorts of passionate, driven students. Putting on such a large-scale event that people look forward to attending every year has been incredibly fulfilling.

Describe a favorite class and why you like it (2-3 sentences).
"Climate Change & the Global Response: A Multidisciplinary Perspective" was an honors seminar that I took during my first semester at Vanderbilt. I learned SO much from Dr. Leah Dundon and my classmates. The course also culminated in an amazing group trip to the UN Climate Change Conference in Madrid, Spain. (Still blows my mind!)

Describe your most memorable Nashville/off-campus experience.
Waking up before 7AM on a Saturday morning to go out with my friend and grab limited edition Jeni's Ice Cream merch on their "Ice Cream for Breakfast Day"
