Why Vanderbilt

When I toured vanderbilt my tour guide always talked about the balance that he felt at Vandy, and the reason I stayed at vandy is because I felt the same. Vanderbilt is a school that is strong in academics while also maintaining a thriving social scene, feels small enough to see familiar faces in the middle of a big city, and has so many extracurriculars and D1 athletics. There’s always something to do, and always someone to study with.

Describe a favorite activity or organization and why you like it.

I love being involved in the Vanderbilt Emergency Medical Society because it allows me to get hands on experience in the field I want to pursue. I can volunteer in the hospital as a registered EMR andshadow some amazing doctors.

Describe a favorite class and why you like it.

My favorite class was one I took in my first year at Vanderbilt because of my liberal arts requirements. I took a religious studies class which is something that doesn’t necessarily “fit” into my major, but I felt like I could explore my interests in it because of my AXLE requirements!

Describe your most memorable Nashville or off-campus experience.

One of my favorite memories is from my first Rites of Spring concert. It was pouring rain and the show almost got cancelled but my friends and I had so much fun! Then we went back to our dorm and drank hot coco to warm up from the rain.
