Waitlist Update Email Going Out Today

Posted by on Friday, April 23, 2010 in Waitlist.

Waiting is hard.  We know that after starting your college search a year ago (at least) and going through the application process, the last thing you really want to do is wait some more.  So for those of you who have agreed to do so by accepting a spot on our waitlist, thank you.  The good news is that barring an unforeseen circumstance we do anticipate that we will be able to admit students from our waitlist at some point.  We don’t know when those admits might happen and we don’t know how many we might make.  The very initial step in the process of us “going to our waitlist” starts today though with a confirmation of interest email.

Today we will be sending out an email that will ask you to confirm that you are still interested in remaining on our waitlist.  This email will be sent to the address you provided on your waitlist acceptance form.  All you need to do when you receive this email is follow the link and submit the form.

Here is the email that you should receive if you turned in the form accepting a spot on our waitlist:

April 23, 2010

Dear Cornelius,

We write to update you about the status of our Waiting List. Over the next week, we will take a close look at the standing of our incoming class and we would like to know if you remain interested in attending Vanderbilt.

Please complete our online Wait List Reply Update (http://sitemason.vanderbilt.edu/site/cW2Qw0) no later than May 1st so we understand your intentions.

Please contact our office if you have questions about the process or about Vanderbilt.

Sincerely,

Douglas L. Christiansen, Ph.D.

Vice Provost for Enrollment and Dean of Admissions

Will you notify students when all slots have been filled? How long should they reasonably plan to wait?

@ transferhopeful. I am also a transfer applicant. As long as you maintain your grades and send in the matriculation fee (&& final transcript with those awesome grades), you will be going to Vandy next fall=]] Hope that helps!!!
