This weekend was tons of fun, thanks to Rites of Spring :) I loved going last year as a freshman and staying the entire time, but I think I enjoyed popping in and out more this spring. The entire atmosphere of the event is pretty relaxed, like your typical music festival—the bands perform enthusiastically, people bring coolers and sit on picnic blankets, and there are several food trucks and tables where people can buy T-shirts, drinks, or food...
Anyone at or around Vanderbilt this time of year can tell when it’s the weekend of Rites of Spring. The sky gets a little clearer, the music gets a little louder, and the good times get even better, which, at a school as fun as Vanderbilt, is a tall order. It being my first Rites...
Throughout my time here at Vanderbilt, I have found that there is a large emphasis placed on fostering healthy discussions in the hopes of exposure to a variety of world perspectives.
With a few tricks up my sleeve, I managed to score the gig of a lifetime for my next three years at Vandy.
Yesterday I know most people went to the Vanderbilt Programming Board’s Carnival Night, and I did stop by there for some free pizza and a photo booth with my boyfriend, but the main highlight of my night was seeing Dead Man’s Cell Phone...
It rains one minute, shines the next...here's how to deal with it.
I just had such an amazing weekend. There was so much going on, both on and off campus. I tried to partake in as much as possible.
My first Friday night back at school was full of school-sponsored activities. First, my friend and I went to Hillel for the Welcome Back Shabbat Dinner. Then, we went to Spotlight, where we met up with the rest of our friends. The night ended with VPB Palooza.
Welcome back! In preparation for the new school year, don’t forget the most exciting part — the Student Organization Fair! It is going to take place on Friday August 24th outside of the Commons Center from 3-6pm. Each year, over 100 of Vanderbilt’s student organizations set up booths to show the incoming freshmen and transfer...
The school year is rapidly coming to a close. In an effort to go out with a bang, Vanderbilt has stepped up its programming. In addition to Rites of Spring, there have been tons of great events for students to enjoy before we head out separate ways this summer.
