The Suite Life of Chaffin 115

It’s the Thanksgiving season, so I thought I might write a little about how thankful I am for my suities.  The formation of our suite came together rather haphazardly, mostly because we had never all met each other before, but now we are lovely, wonderful friends.  Feasting together during our suitie blunches, which is like a brunch except with more of a lunch feel, the four of us have become a close quartet of housemates.

We look so awake in this picture.

One such blunch day occurred a few weeks ago.  Along the golden and vibrantly orange and red colored leaves we walked to Provence, a nice little shop in Hillsboro Village.  It was a perfectly nippy fall day, and we settled into our table, the steam of our hot beverages added to the lovely French-American ambiance.  Delectable platters of warm bread, croissant sandwiches, and frittatas were served to us and we dug into our meals.  S. shared half of her life map that day and we laughed, empathized, and loved her tale.

S. and her bagel. And a Honeybee drink.

After our meal, we wandered around to the back of Provence, where we found a few great backdrops.  B. was going to be performing her junior recital the next weekend, so this was the perfect time to do a little photo shoot for her recital poster.  Of course, fabulous suitemate photos were also taken. As we meandered our way back to our Chaffin, we came across another parking lot where we took some ridiculous laughy-skippy pictures.  Ah, what a lovely day it was.

The one serious-silly picture we took. Success. We usually laughed through the other ones.

I am grateful for my sutiemates A. and S. and B.  A., the resident violinist, is sweet and thoughtful, a fellow nature-freak, and is always willing to lend a hand.  S. brings cheer as she dances in the morning, is always ready to have a conversation, and is a founder of the kindness note wall in our Chaffin.  B. the oboist is kind, a chocolate-strawberry-banana smoothie lover, and a fellow sass-meister.  Hosting the visiting friends, baking scrumptious (sometimes gluten-free!) pastries together, snuggling on the couch while watching cute Pixar shorts and funny YouTube videos, and decorating our Chaffin with Christmas lights, vintage vinyls, and maps, and adding to the quote wall are some of my favorite things to do with my suities.

I love us!

Loving the Thanksgiving season!
