When Your Mom Visits (Version 2, Part 2)

Posted by on Sunday, July 14, 2013 in College Life, Food, General Information, Nashville, Student Life, Summer.

The fun continues! Here are five more places my mom and I explored:

6. Nashville Farmer’s Market–The Nashville Farmer’s market is open every day, and has a variety of vendors who sell produce, crafts, and more! There was also an international market and a food court where everything smelled positively delicious.

7. Monell’s–Go read Caitlyn’s post. She will tell you of all the deliciousness. And wow, it was yummy.

8. Bluebird Café–We finally got a chance to go to this Nashville classic and it did not disappoint! The night we were there, four songwriters were there in the round and it was really neat to hear them play together and riff off of each other. Definitely an awesome experience–if you go, I highly recommend making reservations!

9. Downtown Art Crawl–My mom, Caitlyn, and I discovered a part of Nashville we had never been to before–The Arcade! It’s home to several art galleries that were part of the crawl, including an exhibit done by one of our admissions co-workers, Roo!

10. Desano’s–If you love pizza, especially Italian-style pizza, you MUST go here. Seriously, I think it currently stands as my favorite pizza in Nashville and believe me, I am a pizza connoisseur.

Bonus: Loveless Café–If somehow, after Monell’s you still need a southern food fix…Loveless will absolutely take care of that for you. Yum.

That’s my week with my mom in a nutshell! She’s coming to help me move in before school starts, so I’m already brainstorming where we should visit next!
