The Easiest Enrollment Process Ever!

Posted by on Friday, April 27, 2012 in Student Life.

Enrollment can be frustrating. However, this semester it was quite pleasant!

It was 7:45 AM, and my alarm was blaring 96.3 Jack FM radio (I sleep through most of my alarms, so it had to be loud). My roommate rolls over annoyed, but she knows she must get up, too. It’s enrollment day. It also, for me, happened to be one of the most exhausting weeks of my life (The Original Cast opened their Spring 2012 show that night), so I really did not want this to take long.

I double checked my plan for next semester: 2 courses relevant to one of my majors, 2 courses relevant to my other major, and 1 course relevant to AXLE. I knew that many (as in hundreds) of other folks will be logging into the system at the same time, so one has to act quickly and smartly.

After several heart-pumping moments of “Please Wait–Processing,” I was enrolled in all of my preferred courses! No waitlists! Hooray!

Next semester I am enrolled in:
HIV/AIDS in the Global Community
Human Sexuality
Sociologies of Men and Masculinity
Gender Identities, Interactions, and Relationships
Formal Logic and its Applications

Usually I end up on a waitlist or two, but not this time! Enrollment is actually one of my favorite times of the year; a new start, new professors. So when things go well during enrollment, it only makes me more excited for the coming semester.

I hope my future enrollments go this smoothly.
