Impressions of Zanzibar

Aug. 6, 2011—Zanzibari culture was incredibly different from American culture.  To some extent it had to do with the fact that their society is much more conservative, dominated by Islam, but also involved just a different outlook on life.

Research Experience at Vanderbilt

Aug. 3, 2011—Earlier this week, I completed my summer research experience at Vanderbilt through the Vanderbilt Institute for Integrative Biosystems Research and Education (VIIBRE). I worked mainly on a biology project that dealt with signal transduction in the social amoeboid Dictyostelium discoideum.
