Vanderbilt Visions
Vanderbilt Visions is a one-semester University core program designed to ensure the successful transition of first—year students to university life. Together with faculty and student mentors, first—year students discuss opportunities, challenges, and resources at Vanderbilt; explore the meanings of personal responsibility; exercise critical thinking; and create a community within which all can learn.
Freshman classes are divided into small groups of approximately 20 students each, co—facilitated by a faculty member and an undergraduate peer mentor (or VUceptor). The small groups will meet for the first time during CommonVU week and continue to meet regularly throughout the first semester.
