School of Engineering Open House

Featheringill Hall

School of Engineering Open House events for students admitted through Regular Decision will be held in April 2015 Dates and registration details will be announced in March 2015.

Parking will be available in the 25th Avenue Garage, entering from Highland Avenue. 

Tentative Schedule

Vanderbilt Student Life Center

8:30-9:00 a.m. — Registration and Continental Breakfast

9:00-9:30 a.m. — School of Engineering Welcome and Introductions, Philippe Fauchet, dean of the School of Engineering

9:30-9:50 a.m. — The Ingram Commons Overview, Frank Wcislo, dean of The Ingram Commons

9:50-10:00 a.m. — Financial Aid Presentation, Sammie Huffmon, Office of Student Financial Aid and Undergraduate Scholarships

10:00-10:55 a.m. — Departmental Information Fair

10:55-11:30 a.m. — Panel Discussion by School of Engineering Students, Burgess Mitchell, assistant dean

11:40-12:30 p.m. — Lunch

Featheringill Hall (FGH), Jacobs Hall (JH), Science and Engineering Building (Stevenson Center), and Olin Hall (OH)

12:30-2:15 p.m. — Visits to Exhibits and Laboratory Demonstrations — Department representatives will be available to answer questions about specific programs.

Leaving from Featheringill Hall

2:15-3:00 p.m. — Tour groups leave every 15 minutes to visit The Ingram Commons (first-year student housing)

Map and Directions

Directions to 25th Ave. Garage: From West End Avenue, turn South (into campus) onto 25th Avenue toward Memorial Gymnasium. Turn left onto Highland Avenue (at stop light) and right into 25th Avenue Garage. Park in any non-reserved Zone 3 parking space. (Map yourself from any location using this tool.)
