Peabody College of Education and Human Development Open House events for students admitted through Regular Decision are scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2013. 

Register for the Peabody College Open House

The Open House program is designed to showcase our academic programs and to provide admitted students with a sense of student life at Vanderbilt. Please plan to begin the day between 8:45 and 9:15 a.m. in the lobby of Mayborn Hall. Parking will be available in Lot 77.

Tentative Schedule

Morning Session - Mayborn Hall

8:45-9:15 a.m. — Registration and Breakfast — Mayborn Lobby

9:15-10:15 a.m. — Welcome and Faculty Panel on Peabody Majors — Mayborn 204

10:30-11:05 a.m. — Sample Lecture: "New Directions in Spatial Thinking and Learning," Professor Rogers Hall, Department of Teaching and Learning — Mayborn 204

11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. — Campus Tours (optional), leave from Mayborn Lobby

Afternoon Session - Wyatt Center

12:30-1:00 p.m. — Lunch, Wyatt Center Rotunda

1:00-1:45 p.m. — The Vanderbilt Undergraduate Experience: Peabody Student Perspectives — Wyatt Center Rotunda

1:45-2:30 p.m. — Student Development at Vanderbilt, Student Discussion Groups — Wyatt 201 and 223

1:45-2:30 p.m. — Parent Q&A, Wyatt Center Rotunda

Directions to Lot 77: From downtown Nashville, drive west on Broadway and go left at the fork onto 21st Avenue. Take 21st Avenue for approximately .5 miles. Turn left onto Edgehill Avenue (at stop light) and right onto 18th Avenue. Lot 77 will be on your left.

From west of campus, driving east on West End Avenue, turn right onto 21st Avenue and follow 21st around to the right (School of Law will be on your right). Turn left onto Edgehill Avenue (at stop light) and right onto 18th Avenue. Lot 77 will be on your left.
